This standard lead & copper water testing kit includes all sampling materials, packaging, and prepaid return shipping for one sample. Once at the lab, results are completed in 5 working days or fewer, then results will be submitted. EPA has set the maximum contaminant level goal for lead in drinking water at zero because lead is a toxic metal that can be harmful to human health even at low exposure levels. Lead is persistent, and it can bioaccumulate in the body over time.
EPA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) agree that there is no known safe level of lead in a child's blood. Taking action to reduce these exposures can improve outcomes. Lead is harmful to health, especially for children.
This kit is for one location, if multiple locations are to be tested, there should be one kit for each location.
